The biggest festival of Christians commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ :

Christmas, the biggest religious festival of Christians, is celebrated on December 25 in many countries of the world. Churches, houses and various towns are decorated around this festival, celebrated on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ. People from different classes and professions, including the Christian community, become excited in the festive atmosphere.

The story of the coming of Jesus begins with an angel’s message : According to Christian sources, long before the birth of Jesus, the angel Gabriel announced a miraculous news to his mother Mary. He said that Mary would conceive by the holy power of God and give birth to a savior, whose arrival would bring salvation to mankind. Although Mary was surprised because she was not married, the angel assured her that she was a blessed woman chosen by God.

An angel also appeared to Joseph to take Mary as his wife. A few days later, Mary and Joseph were married so that Mary would not be disgraced in the eyes of society. By order of the king, they had to go to Bethlehem to register their birth. On the way there, they could not find a place in any inn and had to take shelter in a stable. That night, the Savior of mankind, Jesus Christ, was born.

From shepherds to kings, everyone runs to the newborn : The news of Jesus’ birth first reaches the shepherds near Bethlehem. Angels appear in the sky and announce this message: Today a messenger of peace has been born. At this miraculous news, the shepherds follow the light to the stable. They give gifts and blessings to the newborn Jesus.

Later, three wise men from the East visited him. They paid homage to Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, which symbolized kingship, holiness, and sacrifice. Since then, the significance of Jesus’ birthday has become known worldwide as Christmas.

Christmas spreads the message of joy, love and equality : Today’s Christmas is not limited to the scope of a religious festival; it is a universal message of humanity. Decorating houses, Christmas trees, prayers, cakes, exchanging gifts, singing carols, all together, Christmas has become a festival of peace, love and unity. Regardless of religion and caste, many people see this day as an opportunity to exchange joy and wishes.

The main religious ceremonies of Christmas begin late at night on December 24 in various churches in Bangladesh. This same phase is held early the next day. After the main religious ceremony, other social ceremonies begin and continue throughout the day. Everyone from children to the elderly wear new clothes, cut Christmas cakes and enjoy special moments of the festival with their families.

Last words : Christmas, celebrated to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, teaches peace, love, forgiveness and equality among people. This message of Christmas is even more relevant in a turbulent world where people are searching for the path to peace and harmony. May Christmas bring new hope of light in everyone’s lives.

Short poem
Our Savior was born in a stable,
Let’s all see him and pay our deepest respect.
Jesus brought light to the world in darkness,
Christmas is filled with songs of love and new life.
